The Department of Communication Internship Program helps our undergraduate majors earn academic credit for their internships as they gain professional experience in a real-world organizational setting. Our program works with students and internship providers to coordinate experiences that are beneficial for all parties.

 

STUDENTS

Internships are a great way for you to gain real-life work experience, explore different career paths, add skills to your resume, build your professional network, and apply your Communication coursework on the job.  Many employers use internships to identify potential candidates for full-time jobs.  You may also be able to earn academic credit for your internship experience.  Learn more

DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATION FACULTY

Student interns have the option of working with the Internship Program Director as their faculty sponsor, or they may choose another member of the departmental faculty to oversee their internship experience.  Please feel free to contact the Director at comm-internships@illinois.edu.
