Convocation
2024 Spring Convocation
The ceremony recognizes August 2023, December 2023, May 2024, and August 2024 communication graduates. It will include hooding candidates for the Ph.D. degree and calling all participating graduates to the platform in recognition of their academic achievement. Photographs will be taken of candidates as they receive their diploma covers and cross the stage. The ceremony lasts for approximately 90 minutes.

Day of the Ceremony

Graduates should be at LEVEL 2 of the Krannert Center by 12:15 p.m. dressed in regalia. There is no rehearsal, so please arrive promptly to check in at the Orchestra Rehearsal Hall. Marshals will direct you to your place in line.

Ceremony registration

Students must register in order to participate in the ceremony and receive guest tickets. Tickets are required for all guests and can be picked up in the CMN Advising Office (3051 Lincoln Hall) beginning in April. Click here to register.

Academic regalia

A cap and gown are required to participate in the Communication Convocation. Herff Jones provides rentals for all graduates.  Click here for more information.
