Abbey Schneider is currently a PhD student in the Department of Communication at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her research lies at the intersection between media effects and health communication. Specifically, she focuses on media effects in relation to mental health and mental illness, how media depicts mental health and mental illness, and the link between media and mental health.
