With a corporate communication career spanning three decades, I have experience as a global communication strategist and manager, business writer and speechwriter, leader and advisor, and organizational change consultant. I helped top executives of organizations, both large and small, articulate and deliver strategies to internal and external audiences.  I also worked as an independent consultant, providing services to non-profits and arts support organizations, and helping people in many different fields build their oral and written communication skills--for self-marketing as well as workplace purposes.

I now bring my extensive experience into higher education. Currently, I direct the Internship Program and teach Business Communication. Beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year, I will teach Interviewing Principles & Practices. My students acquire core communication skills in a creative, supportive environment that effectively contextualizes their learning: they learn to navigate successfully in professional discourse communities, to present themselves confidently, and to communicate effectively in business contexts. My fundamental goal is to help students make a successful and rewarding transition from college to the competitive, ever-changing work world that awaits.
