Research Description
My research interests lie at the intersection of health, interpersonal, and intercultural communication. The overarching question that guides my research is how individuals’ identity (e.g., personal, group, cultural), knowledge, and beliefs shape their cognition, communicative processes, and conversational partners’ perceptions. I have applied interpersonal communication and persuasion theories and adopted quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methodologies to answer this question.
